Super Mario Kart 64 for Nintendo 64 System Console

General Information

Super Mario Kart 64 for Nintendo 64 is the sequel to SMK for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). The changes from the original game include the transition to a much better 3D console graphics, and also the new addition of simultaneous four way multi-player support.

Players can take control of numerous characters from the SM universe, who race around a variety of tracks with items that can either harm an opponent or aid the user. There are 3 different levels of karts. By design the karts start off a race pretty slow and clunky, and it is up to the skill of the player to grab an assortment of items to build up his speed and power along the way.

A gameworthy note is that this is the first SM game to feature Donkey Kong, whose last appearance with Mario was Donkey Kong '94.

Cheats

How to get a turbo start : When you are waiting at the starting line and as the second starting light begins to dim then press the "A" button.

How to reverse the race course : You need to win gold on all of the cup levels on the 150cc. After that then reset the game and you will notice that the title screen has changed, and that you now have a new option called "extra". Once you have selected that then the race track will have flipped around and all of the corners are now the other way around.
