General Information
This game is a platformer that was originally developed, and released in 1995 by Nintendo, for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System console.
While the game still features the now ubiquitous SM character set, its innovative graphics and gameplay differ completely from all previous SM games. Instead of players controlling the standard Mario character, they control instead a range of various Yoshi dinosaurs. He in fact appears as a helpless child.
In the game plot, the Baby Mario has been kidnapped (what SM game is complete without a kidnapping or 2 ??) by Kamek and his cronies, and it is your task to rescue him.
The game environment is huge, and you are in for a substantial challenge with 6 complete worlds, and a total of 48 separate levels.

Hints
How to unlock a bonus game and secret levels at the end of each world : You have to finish the complete world with at least 100 on each level to unlock the secret level and the bonus game for that particular world.
How to kill the naval piranha at the end of world 3 : Swim very slowly into the boss piranha room and right up to the falling water column. You have gone to far if Kamek appears. Jump upwards and shoot an egg directly at the piranha. If you hit it then Kamek will first appear and then leave without you having to fight him. The piranah will also be dead.
