General Information

This game is a platformer released by Nintendo, in 1990. It is a launch title included in with the console. SMW has seen enormous success with over 20 million copies sold, and is the best selling videogame title for this system.

The plot is similar to the previous games in this series. Mario has to make his way across different themed boards on his personal quest to rescue the lovely Princess Peach. As usual she has been kidnapped by that evil villain - Bowser. He teams up with his new friend Yoshi (a dinosaur) in some levels to eat the enemy.

There are more than 90 levels in this game, and it will certainly keep you occupied for a great deal of time. There are plenty of Koopas to challenge you at every stage, and a lot of great new characters spread around the levels. This game is regarded by many as the greatest SM game ever made.
